We’re renting a nice, recently renovated apartment in the central, yet calm and stylish Kruununhaka district. The sea and market squares are only a few blocks away, offering the best of Helsinki lifestyle, and there’s only a 15 minute walk to the central railway station!

The Space

We offer a traditional Helsinki city apartment, which recently has seen a major renovation making it as good as new. There is one bedroom with two separate beds, and a living room with an open kitchen. The sofa in the living room folds out into a comfortable third bed. Wood floors and warm colours will make you feel at home.

Guest Access

The apartment is on the top floor, making it quiet and bright. Windows facing both north and south can be opened to keep the air flowing through in the warmest summer months, and there is rarely noise from the street. The street level door opens with either a key or by PIN code.Interaction with Guests

Either of us will will be there to meet you when you arrive to let you in. We’ll check the apart-ment and how everything works, and give any tips on how to enjoy Helsinki you might need. Our phone numbers are also in the apartment, and we can help in English, Japanese, Finnish or Swedish.

The Neighborhood

Kruununhaka is an old upmarket area of central Helsinki with a quiet charm, surrounded on three side by the sea. There are many nice small shops in the area, as well as cafés and restau-rants, and the central shopping district is a mere 10 minute walk away. In summer the nearby market squares and bakeries offer great opportunities to stock up for a picnic on the neighbour-ing Tervasaari island, and in winter you can sometimes find a skating rink on the sea-ice be-tween old wooden ships.

Getting Around

There are two bus and a tram lines to the central railway station, with both bus and train connec-tions to the airport, but usually it is just faster to walk there. If you arrive by ship a 5-10 minute tram ride will get you close. In summer you can also try the new public bicycles around town. There is street parking available that guests need to pay for themselves.
